In humanity’s quest to discover our origins
We’ve created the clean line of evolution,
An identifiable image,
From Hammerstone to,
Handaxe to,
Pendulum swing to,
Printing press,
Grunting hominoids to refined humans,
In this line
As we’ve inevitably straightened out,
There’s an urge to find our beginnings,
Our brains more sophisticated
We want to discover,
Whether that be ourselves,
Or our universe
What is it like to be an anthropologist in the field?
